Work in progress: Landscapes of Living Sculptures
Meet artist Joanna Pawlik, a residence artist at Skånes Dansteater, and see what she and ten disabled and non-disabled dancers have been working on.
Meet the Artist
Polish artist Joanna Pawlik is a resident dance artist Skånes Dansteater in May 2025. This residency is part of her project called 'Landscapes of Living Sculptures'.
Joanna’s work is inspired by her personal experiences with physical disability, and her art explores themes such as empowering disabled bodies, femininity, and the sexuality of amputated bodies.
As a part of this residency, Joanna and ten disabled and non-disabled participants from Skåne have worked together during five days exploring Joanna's ideas and the themes of her project called 'Landscapes of Living Sculptures'.
See what the group has been working on — and hear Joanna talk about her artistic practice. This is a wonderful opportunity to see a work in its early stages and gain insights into how an artist approaches making their work.
