Box office, discounts and gift certificates
On this page you findinformation about ticket prices and discounts for students, children, seniors, groups or benefits.
Tickets to performances at Skånes Dansteater can be purchased online on this website, or from our box office either by phone or at the theatre before the performances.
Malmö Opera, Malmö Live, Malmö Stadsteater and Skånes Dansteater use the same ticketing system. When you create a user account with either organization, you can use the same user email and password when purchasing tickets to all four organizations.
Today most of the ticket purchases take place online on this website, but we are more than happy to help you with your ticket requests or answer any questions about tickets you might have. Contact us by email or by phone to make ticket reservations for groups or discount tickets.
Do you want to give someone a gift of dance? Give them a gift certificate to Skånes Dansteater! Our gift certificates are valid two years from purchase and can be used for ticket purchases to all our dances performances at SKånes Dansteater and Malmö Opera.

How to buy tickets
The regular ticket price is listed on each production page, as well as the most common discount prices. The theatre's auditorium is built to offer the best possible view from all seats. Therefore all seats are priced the same. Tickets to our family performances have a lower price overall and therefor have fewer discounts available. We also offer various free events each season. Free events may have a ticket requirement to increase accessibility and guarantee anyone wishing to attend a seat.
Tickets online
- Choose the production, date and seat you with to buy tickets to and place them in the online cart.
- Log in using your email address and password. If this is the first time you are purchasing a ticket to the dance theatre you will need to leave additional contact information. Please note: Malmö Opera, Malmö Live, Malmö Stadsteater and Skånes Dansteater have a joined ticket system. When you create an account with either of the organizations, the same account details are used to log in to all four.
- Pay for your tickets with your bank card, such as Visa, MasterCard etc.
- When your payment has been completed you will see your order summary including, seats, order reference number etc.
- The tickets are sent in pdf format to your email address. You don't have to print your ticket, showing the pdf on your phone to the front of house staff before the performance works fine.
Log on to your account to send yourself copies of the pdf tickets or see your order history.
No ticketing fees added. Tickets can be purchased online 24 / 7, 365 days a year.
Skånes Dansteater does not handle cash. The box office and foyer bar accepts most bank cards and Swedish mobile pay aka Swish.

We are happy to help you with tickets via email and by phone. We aim to answer all ticket related queries within 48 hours. Please note that ticket related emails are only read Monday–Friday.

Ticket Office
The ticket office at Skånes Dansteater is open 60 mins prior to performances. Here you can book, pick up and purchase tickets to all performances.

Tickets can also be picked up and purchased at Malmö Opera's ticket office during their regular hours. Other ticket issues are handled by Skånes Dansteater only.

Companion Tickets
Do you require a companion for your visit to the theatre? Companion tickets are free of charge and are booked by phone 0703-44 58 11 or email biljetter@skanesdansteater.se.
School Tickets
Bring your class to Skånes Dansteater and experience performing arts together with your students!
School tickets are 70 SEK/person.
Pre and post show discussions can be integrated into the daily school schedule.

Gift Certificates
Grand dance experiences with live music and intimate groundbreaking performances - there's room for all and more in a gift certificate to Skånes Dansteater. Our gift certificate is valid as partial or entire payments for tickets to our performances at Skånes Dansteater and Malmö Opera. The gift certificate can be used for payments online on skanesdansteater.se and payments in person at the ticket office at Malmö Opera, at the dance theatre and by phone.
Gift certificates are valid for two years from purchase.
When you wish to use a gift certificate as payment online, please choose performance and seat, log in and go to checkout. Add the full certificate code on the payment page in the field marked PRESENTKORT. Do not type the certificate code in the field marked PROMO CODE.

Riksteaterns Scenpass
Members of Sweden’s National Touring Theatre (Riksteatern) with a Scenpass card are entitled to a 25% discount off the regular ticket price. Your discount tickets are accessed by applying a promo code before you choose your seat for a performance. To access your discount tickets, please use the promo code: RTS. Applies to all days of the week and all seats in the audiotirum, except Lunch Dance and family performances.
Union Members of Scen & Film
Member of The Swedish Union for Performing Arts and Film are entitled to a 50% discount on the regular ticket price. Your discount tickets are accessed by applying a promo code before you choose your seat for a performance. To access your discount tickets, please use the promo code: SCFI. Applies to all days of the week and all seats in the audiotirum, except Lunch Dance and family performances.
Members of Danscentrum Syd
Members of Danscentrum Syd are entitled to a 50% discount on the regular ticket price. Your discount tickets are accessed by applying a promo code before you choose your seat for a performance. To access your discount tickets, please use the promo code: DCSYD. Applies to all days of the week and all seats in the audiotirum, except Lunch Dance and family performances.
Ticket Exchange
Contact us if you need to change your tickets for another date. When tickets are returned the value of the tickets is placed on a gift card. The gift card can be used for partial or full online payments for tickets to Skånes Dansteater's performances. Gift cards are valid two years from purchase. We do not refund tickets.
