Danslördag: Sch!

A dance performance that is anything but quiet by award-winning choreographer Ioannis Mandafounis performed by Regionteater Väst. A dance duet about daring to listen to and follow your inner voice regardless of the static surrounding you.

In the dance performance 'Sch!' you meet two not-so-ordinary people. They behave odd and talk non-stop; but what are they talking about? Where do they come from? At first they use words, but soon they switch to describing with their bodies. They seem to be constantly doing a lot of things at the same time and at the same time they seem to change. Speech turns into whispers, turns into yelling, turns into singing, turns into rhythms and music, and silence is the opposite of what you will experience in 'Sch!'.

In a world of constant noise, with a constant feed of information coming from all directions, it can be difficult to know which voice to listen to and which movement is important. So follow this almost entirely improvised flow of dance, movement, music and voice - and discover what moves and inspires you.

Två dansare gestikulerar mot varandra i en slags omfamning, ur dansföreställningen Sch! med Regionteater Väst.

Lunging muscles are good advertisement for performing arts /.../ The art of creating a show in a classroom full of teenagers. That is something choreographer Ioannis Mandafounis masters completely.
