A guest performance by Yared Tilahun Cederlund in collaboration with Malmö Dance Week.
A work in progress showing. "In PULS I want to explore what is created when we collectively connect to the power of the pulse. We often treat this ability as secondary in today's performing arts in Sweden, but I want to lift it high and give it space. The unifying ability that can be used for everything from creating the most beautiful, powerful music and dance, to the most terrifyingly powerful army.
I want to let the rhythm emerge by listening to the pulse of the work. The pulse that on the one hand can be as mathematical, precise and detailed, as lively, soft, malleable and alive as water. The encounter in embracing this power and exploring this ability is something that will guide the PULS project from start to finish."
