Marion Rastouil

Dancer at Skånes Dansteater since 2019.

Marion Rastouil was born in France in 1988. She studied cello and dance, going on to graduate from the Paris Conservatoire in contemporary dance in 2008. In parallel she continued studying music and obtained her degree in Musicology from Paris University La Sorbonne.

After being a freelance dancer with Dominique Boivin in Paris and Compagnie 7273 in Geneva, she joined the Ballet de Lorraine in Nancy (France) where she worked for seven years on repertoire by Trisha Brown, Merce Cunningham, William Forsythe, Martha Graham, Twyla Tharp as well as creating new works with choreographers including Ingun Bjornsgaard, Andonis Foniadakis, Itamar Serussi, Cindy Van Acker, Gisèle Vienne among others.

Marion obtained a degree in lyrical singing in 2017 and also teaches ballet and yoga.

In spring 2020 Marion created the short dance film GROUND together with dancer colleague Laura Lohi and film maker Nicholas Wakeham.

As a dancer at Skånes Dansteater, Marion has been involved in productions such as 'Once a Whisper' (part of 'Franzén/Nuutinen'), 'Don't, Kiss .Skånes', 'Transit', 'Mozarts Requiem' and 'The View From Here'.
